Pendleton

Pendleton

One of the foremost heritage brands the United States has to offer, Pendleton was founded in Portland, Oregon 1863 by British weaver Thomas Kay who had an expertise in the traditionally English fabrics of the time; worsted wool, tweed, and flannel. In the early 1900s the fabric mill formal opened, and combined Kay's weaving expertise and those iconic British fabrics with traditional Native American designs and prints. Not much has changed quality-wise since the early 1900s, with the mill being continuously owned and operated by the Kay family since its inception, but what has changed is the brands approach to collaboration and line expansion, both of which have become reliable hallmarks of Pendleton since the early 2000s and have brought the brand to a whole new generation of people that will pass down their indestructible wool blankets, shirts, and accessories.
