Tropical for summer is everywhere this season! Here are some ways to dress up (or down) those funky prints.
Commit to the colorful prints and go all out with the whole family by coordinating in coordinating colors. We recommend keeping some Herbivore on hand for that refreshing touch up or a great way to treat your mom to a personal spa day.
If you love tropical prints, but want a more muted look, we recommend trying Obey's Backyard Top. Pair it with a basic black bottom for a casual look (we paired this top with Curator's Margot Pants to make it more a little more dressy, but comfortable!) For a pop of tropical color, try pairing with a bolder earring like these leather Monstera Earrings from Vinuesamade.
This unique print from Oxford Lads will add a pop to any guy's closet. Gifting a S'Well bottle is also a great staple for any parent: each triple-walled insulated bottle keeps your drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. Basically, no more microwaving to reheat that coffee!
Embroidery is everywhere this summer and is a fun way to make any item more tropical. Like we said, any parent's day is caffeine on caffeine on caffeine so pick out a new "just for her" mug like Brim Papery's Boss Bitch Mug Black and pair it with her favorite tea or coffee. (More mugs here).
Moms somehow manage to do it all, but we could all use a little help to remember. Items like this Rifle Paper 2018 Lively Floral Planner and notepads are perfect for those daily reminders. We also know that things tend to get lost in a purse (even if they're teeny tiny, somehow it NEVER fails) so we recommend pouches to help keep track of everything. One of our favorite's is this Emily McDowell Beach Ladies Pouch.
Okay, let's face it. We will totally buy candles or soaps, but we LOVE getting them as gifts even more. These Paddywax's Urban Concrete candles not only smell so great that you'll probably keep it for yourself and then have to buy another one for Mom, but they can be used as a planter afterwards. Win, win, win! If you really wanna get fancy, pair it with a Candle Snuffer and/or Wick Trimmer for that time when the wick is just too low. As for soaps, we showed this Pink Champagne Soap from Wary Meyers, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. See more here or read more about some of our soaps from Ellen here!
